‘lies!’ is a large, hand-stitched, punch-needle art work created in 2023. This piece was created as the first of a four-part Pinocchio series, using the iconic character to explore contemporary existential questions. This piece incorporates hand-spun steel wool, created and contributed by the artist Giselle Restrepo, adding texture and visual interest to the puppet-strings. ‘lies!’ is a blue, brown, and green-dominant color palette.
