Teal Fitzpatrick

is a fiber artist based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, creating hand-stitched textile works in wool using punch-needle rug-hooking techniques. Presented in hand-crafted frames as “wool paintings,” her work draws on the material language of traditional fiber craft while expanding its application within a contemporary art practice.

Particularly interested in the intersection of what is aesthetically pleasing and what is emotionally startling, Fitzpatrick’s current work explores the experiential impact of color, spatial (dis)orientation, and archetypal and ancestral imagery.

In 2025 Fitzpatrick completed The Woolen Tarot project, reimagining and recreating all 78 cards of the tarot as original fiber art pieces, which are now available as a new tarot deck with accompanying guidebook.
