‘flight pattern’ is a large, hand-stitched, punch-needle art work created in 2026. This piece was originally part of a larger work that was intended to be a lush flower garden. Once I worked in the bird-in-flight I realized that this wanted to be a stand-alone piece, and then worked with negative space to create the compositional interest that makes this piece work. ‘flight pattern’ is a multi-colored bird on a white background.

Treated with permethrin to protect wool from larvae.
